Look at the top left arrow on your Human Design bodygraph. Is it facing left or right? When it comes to creating safety in your system, do you thrive with structure and consistency (left facing) or flexibility and spontaneity (right facing). While we are more than the sum of our parts, this is one place you can look to show you how you create feelings of security by honoring your unique needs. We looked at your Determination (how you best take in life and nourishment) earlier on but the direction of the arrow offers information of its own. When creating a nurturing environment for your nervous system to thrive experiment with the honoring the orientation of your arrow.

Left facing thrives with greater structure and predictability. Schedules and routines are typically your friend as well as having nourishing food on hand and making sure your needs are always taken care of. When we don’t do this, we move closer towards our window of tolerance (meaning less capacity).

Right facing thrives when there is more flexibility to routines and structures. Following your intuition, Strategy + Authority when it comes to planning your day and allowing for how you feel in the moment is key. It’s great to plan in free days where you can move with how you feel. Forcing yourself into structures that don’t fit will move you closer towards your window of tolerance (meaning less capacity).

Are you currently leaning in? How might you come into greater resonance to support your Digestion? And unique Environment?

How is your digestion… if you are struggling in any way, additionally experiment with doing one of the tune ups before you eat and/or try working with an oil like this one to drop into rest and digest.

Working with your senses is a really big way you can help bring your nervous system into greater regulation + flexibility. We can ALL work with ALL the sense and choose activities in which we bring a lot of attention and intention to like: cooking, a tea or cacao ceremony, listening to music, a spa day, walking barefoot or just being in nature. I have a blog post on the senses and your cognition as well as some other Human Design placements which you can find below. It is a lovely way to think about honing in on your super-sense and supporting your unique design.

You can think about activities you might do in relationship to your Nervous System + Cognition, and again, while it can be fun to bring focus to this part of your chart, also incorporate support that feels balancing through all of your senses as this holistic approach sends signals of safety to your nervous system, that your environment is not a threat (which we can sometimes feel as sensitive beings in dysregulated states).

As you work with your senses notice what feels grounding and offers you a greater sense of well-being so you can come back to these activities. What reduces stress or maybe you notice you sleep more soundly. What makes you feel more connected and comfortable in your environment. And take note as you move through the journey when something has shifted… maybe you felt ‘threatened’ by something before in your environment which now feels more comfortable or harmonious. Through this work you build safety in your body in connection to your surroundings.
