libra love notes to the world | challenge extended

hunting for beauty
free hugs, random acts of kindness
amplifying awe | libra season
the power of paying compliments

Maybe it’s Libra season but I’ve been thinking a lot lately about love, not romantic love, but ‘small acts with great love’ kind of love. It feels very much like something the world is in profound need of, IMHO. I shared recently on a podcast about how I’ve noticed, at least in the cities especially, that people smile a lot less, they make eye contact a lot less, and they seem almost shocked if you pay them a compliment. I shared in a wee IG rant about how it is benefitting no one, not the New Earth, and especially not the person individually, to amplify negativity with outrage social posts on repeat. In a world that is so divided and so hyper focused on low vibrations and what’s “not working”, I think we can take a play from Libra’s playbook and ask… “how can I offer the world more beauty today”? Can we see this season as an invitation (a habit to hopefully be cont…) to cultivate deeper more present relationship with beauty, with awe, with ourselves, with our partners, with strangers, with goodness. I dare you to take a complaining fast and to lean into any or all of these and watch how your life changes. I’m doing it with you.

Challenge extended

  • to give at least one genuine compliment/day to someone in your life or random person you encounter or both - bonus points - and if you have to fake it till you make it, that’s fine too.

  • to be a hunter of beauty.

  • to seek out and blow up all the ways whatever you desire is already showing up in your present day life, no matter how small.

  • to notice and amplify awe. Let the way the sun passes through the tree take your breath away. I recently encountered a Pandora Sphinx Moth for the first time in my life. It nearly made me cry with its magic and beauty. We are surrounded by wondrous things in both a grand sense and in the ways we begin to more intentionally notice the magic that surrounds us. Let the world touch your heart.

  • recognize the miraculousness of the Earth, your body, the cosmos… Honor it. Give thanks for it every single day. Truly.

This is not just about making our own little corner of the world better. It’s not just about making your individual life better, tho it will, when you start to orient yourself to more positive, more coherent set points. It is about the ways in which this can ripple out into the world. I promise you this is a much better contribution than venting your outrage, gossipping or commiserating. In a time where polarization feels louder than presence… Libra season arrives like a soft exhale. A recalibration to harmony. If you let it.

A reminder that beauty is not superficial — it’s structural. It’s the geometry of coherence. Libra is often reduced to aesthetics and relationships. But beneath that, it’s a sign that governs the architecture of connection — within ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.

When you amplify awe? You disrupt apathy. Choose awe as a daily supplement. It’s been shown that we actually calibrate (that’s right, our nervous system) through moments of wonder.

When you perform a random act of kindness? You regulate not just yourself — but the field around you. It ripples. Nervous systems respond to surprise safety.

When you hunt for beauty? You remember we are still part of something miraculous. Choose beauty as a discipline. It’s not a distraction — it’s orientation.

When you offer a compliment? You create more coherence in the world. Choose compliments as currency. Not as empty flattery but as recognition. And here’s what’s wild… neuroscience shows that when you complain or talk about someone you amplify that trait in yourself. So when you pay someone a compliment… you actually strengthen those pathways in yourself as well. You’re training your system to see more good, more clearly. You’re tuning your own frequency toward alignment, coherence.

When you give thanks for miracles, you attract more miracles.

This isn’t about being nice.

It’s about anchoring. Anchoring a frequency and a vision for a better world.

It’s subtle. But that’s the magic.

It’s the soft power of Libra season.

The elegance of showing up in alignment — and becoming the frequency you wish existed. Because that’s how we create it. Contribute the signal, the patterns, the energy broadcasted. Let it ripple across the morphic field.

Wabi sabi is a very Libran principle. One that finds beauty in impermanence and imperfection, recognizing that we are always “in process”. In processes of growth and of decay. One cannot exist without the other. And we can find beauty in both. We can find beauty in the process, in the flaws, in the dark.

In Kintsugi they repair cracked ceramics with gold, making it more beautiful for its flaws not in spite of them. We are in a crumble, in the birth canal of a new paradigm, a new world. The deconstruction phase can feel very uncomfortable. How much faster and more easily might we align with a higher more abundant timeline when we are actively filling the cracks with light.
