going deeper

with the planets, your profections + Timelord(s), TRANSITS

Be sure you have gone through the handouts here and identified the basics including house(s), sign, element, mode, additional houses, condition of your timelord, gates, etc… First and foremost what does the sign on the cusp, its element + mode, tell you in relationship to the House’s significations? Allow yourself to meditate in those places and spaces. To day dream. I encourage you, if you’re a visual person, to make a moodboard for your year. Consider it all individually and in relationship to each other.

For any transit, profection, progression… Do not walk with fear. Walk with curiosity. Walk with devotion to ALL parts of yourself. There really is beauty in ALL SEASONS. Be intentional. Turn to what is ripe and activated and say I see you, I honor you, I want to work WITH you. Be a treasure hunter.

sun year

moon year

mercury year

mars year

venus year

saturn year

A Saturn transit to any of your inner planets (especially Sun, Moon, chart ruler, Saturn) can be a similar vibe to Saturn years by Timelord. Both are times when you are simply in closer relationship with Saturn. He has effectively entered your home with his clipboard ready to get things in order.

Saturn asks you to more structure, responsibility, endurance, consistency, discipline, a willingness and belief in yourself to do hard things, understanding your limitations and also overcoming them, backing yourself, putting in effort.

If we are talking about a transit we want to think about exactly what qualities (based on the planet Saturn is walking with — or getting that side eye from across the room) are being invited to more of said Saturn qualities. Where is it taking place and also what does that planet rule.

But in general here are some things you can do to lean into Saturn (which he loves, which all planets love — they all really just want your attention and intention). Less perfection, more consistency. Less taking on way more than you can handle, more daily aligned manageable action.

  • Saturn is the ground for which Jupiter can expand you from — how are your foundations? Is the scaffolding strong? Are things in order? Do you feel organized? What needs dismantling to lay more solid foundations and what do you truly want to build to last. Put in the work (from the archives: old weather relevant support).

  • Tend to your bones, fascia and skin. Fascia flows, skin treatments, chiropractic adjustments, good dental hygiene are a love letter to Saturn. Create low friction routines that feel consistent like a set sleep schedule, a few new healthy habits rather than an unsustainable life overhaul. Schedule regular maintenance.

  • Get your car fixed, upgrade issues around your home. Address minor vulnerabilities rather than waiting for them to become costly repairs. Feng Shui. Declutter + streamline. You don’t have to become a minimalist but you can pare down to what feels more essential.

  • Take time to retreat. Carve out some alone time for self reflection. If Saturn happens to carve it out for you — take advantage of it rather than fighting it. Understand it’s a life cycle rather than taking it personally. And while Saturn can sometimes dismantle — in my experience of years working with clients it tends to always make space for something more aligned. For your own part — get into the habit of saying no to things that don’t really feel a yes. Set boundaries in places that are feeling leaky. Make sure where you are saying “yes” feels truly aligned and expansive, reciprocal, offering long term value and/or deeper nourishment (as you can balance Saturn with Cancer energy, with the Moon, with comforts and felt safety).

  • Chop wood, carry water. Tend to the basics. Create safety in your nervous system by taking responsibility for your life. Pay your bills. Take really good care of your health. Resource your nervous system by saying I got you with action. Focus on practical action that may not be sexy but feels nourishing all the same.

  • Conduct a time audit. Log your daily activities for one week to see exactly where you leak energy. Cut out non-essential commitments and distractions to ruthlessly prioritize your primary goals. Are you scrolling all the time? Numbing out in front of screens? Where can you focus more? Work smarter not necessarily harder.

  • Organize your finances and make clear pragmatic plans. Saturn loves a healthy budget and/or repayment timeline.

  • Commit to building a skill. Get a mentor, enroll in a program, take a training that requires steady effort. Master a practical craft.

  • Think about longer term goals and how you might break them down into manageable actions.

  • Observe your mind. Transits to your Sun, Moon, Mercury, Saturn, Saturn years, especially, can have the mind leaning to the more negative pessimistic side. This is when a toolbox comes in handy. Watch your thoughts. Find ways to process and then reorient. Flip the script on any ways in which you participate in your own undoing, in which you still self sabotage. Practice gratitude as an orientation often instead of getting caught up marinating in dissatisfaction energy.

jupiter year

*this is by no means a comprehensive list for pulling threads, and there is absolutely some crossover especially between Jupiter + Venus as they are both tied to money, but hopefully it will offer you much support, or at least some points of curiosity, in addition to the handouts.
